MORAL INSTRUCTION

To build up the character of students and to have faith in God and His providence in life on the basis of the noble aspects of our culture and to make them understand the true significance of religion, moral instructions and religious lessons are offered to all the students. As a part of this program, meditations, prayer sessions, seminars, etc., are arranged periodically.


WITHDRAWAL AND DISMISSAL

  1. A month’s notice to be given before the withdrawal of a student from the school.
  2. Notice of the withdrawal should be given in writing to the school office by the parent/guardian and not by the student friends or servants.
  3. The application form for the transfer certificate/school leaving certificate will be issued one week after receiving the notice of withdrawal.
  4. No transfer certificate will be issued until all dues are cleared.

NOTE TO STUDENTS

Students are hereby advised to follow the rules and regulations given below for a better academic session and peaceful living in the campus:

  1. All students are expected to arrive on or before 8.30am.
  2. No shouting or whistling is allowed in school campus.
  3. SJEMS students should observe polite standards wherever they go. They should remember that the school is judged by them. They should greet their teachers when they meet them.
  4. It is an essential condition to observe the school rules of discipline. In case a student violates the school rules in any form of indiscipline strict action like suspension/rustication shall be taken against the students.
  5. Parents whose children are weak are advised to avoid private coaching classes rather they should seek the guidance of the teachers to make child to show improvements or good performance.
  6. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments mobiles, iPods and two wheelers fuel vehicles to school.
  7. Those who go home alone should be prompt in returning straight home. In case of any delay if someone receiving the child from the school, the child should report to the school office at once.
  8. Since it is co – educational school, students are expected to behave morally and socially in a manner in and outside the school.
  9. Students are not supposed to miss any teaching, games and activity period.
  10. The students are expected to come to the computer room only after taking off their shoes. The hardware and software in the computer room should in no way be damaged and strict decorum should be maintained.
  11. In the library, complete silence is to be observed. The books are issued on the cards. The books borrowed should be maintained well and returned on time falling which a fine will be charged.
  12. Educational visit, camps and picnics are arranged for all classes. Class teachers decide and arrange these programs for each class under the guidance of Principal.
  13. For children of STD I to V as per the CBSC Board, alternative to homework activities are given which will make their learning more interesting and creative. Students of Std. VI to X Should not feel that class works and learning are confined to school. It is necessary to have some drill work.
  14. All articles brought to school, including water bottles, Tiffin boxes, pull-over’s, blazers, rain-coats, caps, etc., should be marked with the name and class of the student.
  15. Any student who is persistently and repeatedly mischievous, or has committed an act of serious indiscipline or misbehavior, will be expelled permanently or suspended by the principal.
  16. Girls with hair longer than shoulder length must plait it. No pony-tails allowed.
  17. Boys need to have a crew-cut and no fashionable hair cut will be allowed.
  18. Parents are requested to ensure a proper dress code for their children, the habit of dressing decently for all occasions held in school.
  19. Students are advised to contribute generously when collections are taken for the poor and the needy, for any other humanitarian cause or during any calamities.
  20. School matters including phone calls will be attended to, only during school hours.
  21. Students are not allowed to five gifts to teachers.
  22. Students are expected to respect school property. No students should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the wall. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class Teachers or the Principal. Any damage to the school property to be made good by the concerned student or the class responsible for it.
  23. In case of doubt regarding the interpretation of the school rules, the decision of the discipline committee (i.e. school managing committee) is final.
  24. 24. Infectious diseases: Any student suffering from chicken pox/measles should not be sent to school. Parents must notify the school office immediately of any such disease and keep their children at home, until they are considered to be fit by the doctor. After the incubation period, student will be permitted to resume school only after submitting medical certificate.
  25. Politeness and courtesy of speech are much emphasized. Students spilling ink, littering papers, scribbling on the school desks or walls, stealing or damaging other student’s belongings or school property, will be liable to deserve punishment, to the extent of a heavy fine to cover the damage, suspension or even dismissal.

NOTE TO THE PARENTS

  • 1. Parental co-operation with the school is very essential. The school, therefore, invites the parents/guardians to extend their whole-hearted co-operation, by visiting school periodically and keeping in close touch with the teachers and the school authorities, during the visiting hours.
  • 2. Parents and guardians are earnestly requested to enforce punctuality and discipline, to see that their children prepare their home lessons regularly and devote at least two to three hours to studies at home.
  • 3. Parents, guardians or visitors are not allowed to see the students or interview their teachers during the school hours without the permission of the Principal. They should come only during the given time i.e. after the class hours between 3:00pm – 4.00pm. They are strictly prohibited to go to the classrooms or to the staff room or office room.
  • 4. It is the duty of the parents to see that their children are regular, come neat and tidy to school, are in time (i.e. 8:30am) and bring all the necessary books and other learning materials according to the time table or the instructions of the concerned teacher.
  • 5. The school authorities highly recommend that parents should not arrange medical appointments of their wards during school hours, or those medical appointments of parents/relations which could affect the students/children.
  • 6. To maintain the discipline of our school, parents are requested to mote that the following students will be sent home:

  • ● Late comers.
  • ● Those who do not bring signed test/evaluation report, teacher’s remark, etc. in time.
  • ● Those who come without proper uniform or whose appearance is shabby.
  • ● Those suffering from a disease, which is contagious or at an infectious stage.

  • 7. Children must carry their lunch bag alone with them. No Tiffin will be accepted afterwards.
  • 8. Parents and guardians are earnestly requested to pay school fee and Transportation fee as installment.
  • 9. Parents and guardians are requested to check everyday home work and sign regularly.
  • 10. Parents and guardians are requested not to send mobile through children.
  • 11. Ensure your Childs cleanliness (Brushing teeth, cleaning eyes and nose, cutting nails, bathing, dress, etc.)
  • 12. Inculcate the habit of self – reliance from child hood.
  • 13. Send your child regularly on time to the school.
  • 14. Avoid fast food eating habits.
  • 15. Kindly note that child will not be send home during school hours with any other person except parents.
  • 16. Any request note by parents over the Phone to send the child home during the school hours will not be entertained.
  • 17. Shooting video (or) photos of any child (or) school in school premised strictly prohibited.
  • 18. Habits like smoking, chewing betel nuts, Pan Parag, etc., are strictly prohibited inside the campus including school office and reception. As per the Govt. rule students are not permitted to drive a vehicle. The Management expects the same from the students when they come to school.
  • 19. Parents are welcome to the school to check the progress of their children. But they are not allowed to meet their children or the teachers during school hours without the permission of the Principal. Teachers may be contacted only after school hours in the evening on all working hours.
  • 20. Complaints by parents if any or remarks about the staff must be brought to the notice of the Principal or Administrator, and not to the staff concerned.
  • 21. Entrusting a pupil to the school implies that parents agree to stand by the rules and regulations of the school and that they should see that their children also abide by the school regulations.

Availing leave for the following reasons must be avoided by students

  • ● Family function (But for blood relatives)
  • ● Accompanying parents on tour.
  • ● Simple religious ceremonies.
  • ● Preparing for school examinations and other competitive examinations.
  • ● Attending to / entertaining relatives / visitors at home.
  • Parents are welcome to the school to check the progress of their children. But they are not allowed to meet their children or the teachers during school hours without the permission of the Principal. Teachers may be contacted only after school hours in the evening on all working hours.
